Sky HD box delivers sports
The Sky Sports News Channel we have all been enjoying on Freeview is soon to go the way of any new channel that develops a following. Soon the channel which boasts high definition updates on all of the latest and greatest world sporting events will become part of Sky TV packages requiring a paid subscription. For those using Freesat this will require a changeover to a Sky HD box as well. Because Sky and Virgin Media have recently reached buy out of channels and shared programming contracts, one might expect to see this subscription channel turn up on a Virgin Media TV package of some sort also. For this expect to need a Virgin HD box. Bear in mind that these HD boxes are given for free as part of a sign up with either company. The channel which is home to the extremely popular Gillette Soccer Saturday programme will be sorely missed on Freeview. Yet one should remember that Digital TV from Sky is very reasonably priced. If TV Viewing and in particular sports TV viewing is your favorite form of entertainment this may be the time to investigate digital TV from either Sky or Virgin Media.
